About Me

Qualifications
I studied at the University of South Wales, Caerleon and I am a professionally qualified, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), who specialises in bereavement, moderate anxiety, depression and confidence building. Using CBT we will work together and tailor therapy to your individual needs and aim to get you back on track quickly. I am particularly focussed on taking an active and pragmatic approach supporting clients step by step to achieve their goals.

About CBT
CBT is the recommended therapy by NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence), as it is proven to be effective at treating a wide range of emotional disorders such as anxiety and depression. It looks at how our thoughts affect how we feel and how these feelings directly influence behaviour.

How I can help in our sessions
Have you ever stopped and taken note of what was going through your mind when you felt a dip in mood? Have you noticed how you behaved when you felt that way? Through CBT you can gain an awareness of: Why is this happening to me, why now and why will my problems not go away? In our sessions, we will teach you invaluable skills that will help you manage problematic emotions and help you avoid feeling this way in the future.

Location and next steps
I provide cognitive behavioural therapy in a private location, which is close to bus routes with off-road parking available. Our work together will be confidential, in a professional, comfortable setting. You will be given the opportunity to gain insight into difficult emotions, and work to find balance in your life. My aim is for you to feel that I understand and can see the world through your eyes. So if you are simply looking for someone to listen and understand you and maybe you have just lost your way in life please get in touch I can help.

I offer a safe, confidential space where you will feel a warm understanding and sensitive encouragement to explore your problems to help you move forward.
